Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Gallico's Fans ("we," "us," "the site") is an informational website. We don't sell anything, run ads, or track you across the internet. This policy explains the small amount of information we do handle, so you know exactly what's going on.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in only two ways:
If you fill out the contact form, we receive whatever you type in: your name, your email address, and your message. That's it. We use this information solely to read your message and reply to you.
If you visit the site, Google Analytics collects standard, anonymized usage information so we can understand which pages people read. This typically includes things like your approximate location (city or region), the type of device and browser you're using, which pages you viewed, and how you got to the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. We do not link analytics data to your name, email, or any other personal identifier.
2. What we do not do
We don't sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
We don't run advertising, and we don't share your information with advertisers.
We don't have accounts, logins, or user profiles.
We don't embed third-party social media widgets, video players, or trackers beyond Google Analytics.
We don't send marketing emails or newsletters.
3. How we use information
Contact form submissions are used only to respond to you. Analytics data is used only to understand site usage in aggregate (e.g., "how many people read the article about five-blade fans last month") and to fix problems.
4. How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept in our email for as long as is reasonably useful to maintain the conversation, after which they may be archived or deleted. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention settings (currently 14 months for user-level data) and is anonymized.
5. Third parties
The only third-party service we use is Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC. Google processes information about your visit subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.
6. Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to function. These are the only cookies the site uses. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so won't break anything on the site.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal information — for example, the right to know what we hold about you, to ask us to delete it, to correct it, or to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we'll respond.
If you're in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you have specific rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) respectively. We comply with these laws to the extent they apply.
8. Children's privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We can't guarantee absolute security, and you submit information at your own risk.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be more prominently noted.
